He was styled Viscount Moore until 1822 when he succeeded his father
and became 2nd Marquess of Drogheda. In 1790 he became M.P. for Queen's
County but on petition was unseated in March 1791. He was also an officer
in the 15th Light Dragoons. Aged sixty-eight and unmarried, he died on
6 February 1837 after being insane for forty-five years.
