On 27 June 1724 she married Thomas Lumley-Saunderson, the future 3rd
Earl of Scarbrough, who may not have been a very good catch. From 1722
until 1724 he had been Britain's Envoy in Portugal where, through his sumptuous
entertainments, he had brought himself into serious financial difficulties.
A deed drawn up on 12 August 1724 showed debts
amounting to œ23,938, including œ10,459 owing to his elder brother.
This unmarried brother, the 2nd Earl of Scarbrough, committed suicide in
1740, making her husband the 3rd Earl. However, her husband died in 1752
and she became a Lady of the Bedchamber to the Princess of Wales.
She died on 27 December 1772 at Bath and was "carried away" on 6 January
1773. Her will was dated 18 September 1763 and proven on 4 February 1773.
