Prince Friedrich Karl of Prussia
(1828-1885)
Born 20 March 1828 Berlin
Died 15 June 1885 Jagd Schloss Klein-Glienicke
Married 29 November 1854 Dessau
Princess Marie von Anhalt-Dessau, daughter of Leopold IV,
Duke von Anhalt-Dessau and Princess Friederike of Prussia
Born 14 September 1837 Dessau
Died 12 May 1906 Friedrichsroda
He was a military martinet with a vicious temper and lived separately
from his wife, which was the talk of Berlin. In 1879 he had to go to England
to attend his daughter's marriage to Queen Victoria's son. Nothing marred
the happy occasion except for his incorrigible bad temper and informing
Queen Victoria that he had hoped his previous visit to England would be
his last.
