Margaret Lindsay
In 1575 he married Margaret Lindsay. He was Sheriff of Fife and
provost of Cupar; in 1578 he attended Parliament. In 1584 he withdrew
from "the Courtiers' party". Having become a widower, he married
Catherine Drummond in 1594. James Leslie, Master of Rothes, apparently
died in 1607.
