Born in 1441, he married
in 1464 Elisabeth von Hessen nicknamed 'the
Beautiful' and by her became
the father of two children. In 1472 his
father appointed him co-ruler
of their county but he died, aged
thirty-nine, in 1480 while
his father was still alive. Elisabeth died
nine years later at the
age of thirty-five.
