First he married Theresa Schmaleker, with whom he had five children        
          between 1792 and 1798. On 12 September 1801 he married his second          
          wife, Countess Johanna von Gatterburg, and it is from this marriage        
          that all living Szapary's descend. Jozsef was Governor of the counties     
          of Fehervar and Szerem, and Head of the Academy of Science of              
          Pressburg. He was also a writer.
