She was a daughter of the 2nd Duke of Ormonde and a granddaughter of
the 1st Duke of Beaufort. On 21 October 1710 she married John Ashburnham,
3rd Baron Ashburnham and later the 1st Earl. However, she died aged twenty-three,
in childbirth, on 2 January 1713 and was buried at Ashburnham. According
to Jonathan Swift: "She was my greatest favourite, and I am in excessive
concern for her death, I hardly knew a more valuable person on all accounts."
