        Baptised on 13 November 1614 in Shipton, Shropshire, England, Richard 
        More was a boy servant of William Brewster, founder of the Scrooby 
        Pilgrim Church, and, in 1620, went with him on the "Mayflower" to 
        America. Two of his brothers accompanied him on this journey; Jasper 
        went as servant of John Carver, the first governor of the colony, but, 
        in December 1620, was one of the first to die in Cape Cod Harbor. The 
        other brother, Master More, also accompanying William Brewster, died 
        at Plymouth in the spring of 1621. Richard, changed his name to Mann, 
        married and became the father of four children.
