Don Antenor
Patino is supposed to have refused the request for the hand of his
daughter Isabel, by saying that in his family they did not marry Jews.
To which (Sir) James Goldsmith replied that in his family they did not
marry Indians, referring to Don Antenor's Columbian origins. However, Isabel
and James eloped. See the Patino family.
