In our issues of 26 and 27 January 1999 we suggested that Prince Michael’s business bank accounts had been frozen after he had run up an unauthorised overdraft and that he owed 2.5 million pounds. In fact none of the accounts of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent nor of his business have been frozen or suspended and there have never been any unauthorised overdraft balances on any of these accounts.  We accept that our original allegations were untrue and we apologise to Prince and Princess Michael.
