The
heraldic explanation of the Szapary coat-of-arms :
The Counts Szapary carry, on an azure background,
the image of a woman with dishevelled hair, Queen
Semiramis, issuant from a ducal coronet (une couronne
de duc) resting on a mountain chain. In her right hand
she carries the Scythian sword (the Suffagar), in her
left three roses on a single stem. She is accompanied
on her right by a twisted crescent, on her left by the
Morning Star...
